Lists (follow our class list!)
Your turn:
1. Go to Twitter (www.twitter.com) to sign up. Use some version of your first and last name as your Twitter ID. If you already have a Twitter account, please help your classmates that are new to Twitter.
2. Upload a photo or avatar of yourself.
3. Write a brief (160 characters or fewer) bio. Perhaps mention that you’re a MBA student or include your URL for your LinkedIn account.
4. Follow me at twitter.com/delaneykirk I will then use your Twitter ID to set up the class as a list.
5. Choose background design (Under your name at top right hand side, go to settings, then design).
6. Hashtags make it easier to follow a topic. For example, we will use #USFSMSM and if others used same hashtag, we could easily follow their tweets. People also use hashtags as humor #not
7. Tweet (share something no longer than 140 characters such as this: I’m using Twitter in my Social Media class #USFSMSM (everyone who follows you will see this on their home page)
8. Follow your book authors:
Brogan, Chris & Smith, Julian. Trust Agents: Using the Web to Build Influence, Improve Reputation, and Earn Trust.

Ann & Chapman, C.C. Content Rules: How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts,
Videos, Ebooks, Webinars (and More) That Engage Customers and Ignite Your

Thrive in the New Global Neighborhoods. @shelisrael

Note:
Actively use Twitter for the next two weeks (at least a few minutes per
day)...Tweet your team mates about the book you’re reading on social media,
tell us what industry and companies you are following, share relevant links to
articles or websites you've found, respond to each other's tweets, etc. Follow a minimum of 20 people. This is
part of the experience of figuring out how Twitter could be a useful business
tool. Just keep in mind that this is viewed by all and thus should be
professional.
