What is Pinterest?  A virtual corkboard that lets you organize and share things you like. People use Pinterest to plan their weddings, organize their favorite recipes, come up with ideas for Christmas presents, etc. You can also browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests and then pin those photos on your own board.

How to do?  Go to www.pinterest.com  and sign up.

  • Under your name (top right hand side): can add info and profile photo.
  • Pins (all the photos you have uploaded or pinned)
  • Boards (categories of photos you have set up)
  • Under “Add+”: can add a pin, upload a pin, or create a board
  • Under word “Pinterest”: drop down menu-Following (who you are following), Categories (lists types of boards might want to follow)…
  • Under “About” at top of page: “Getting started” menu list will answer many of your questions.
  • Also, under “About” at top of page:  Can “pin it” button to your bookmarks in Firefox to get a link to make easy to pin image from any website.
